Together We Create
This project is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW
1. What should I do if I don’t get my resource kit?
It is very important to notify Lisa via email or phone at least 2 days before the first session on the 27th of August 2020 and an arrangement will be made so that you have the resources available to you for the first session.
2. Do I need an operational computer and internet access?
Participants must have access to the internet and a computer or tablet to attend each session or access to a computer or tablet for the 12 week, one hour sessions.
Participants will also need access to an email account to receive program information and updates.
3. Who can attend the sessions?
Only the participant and their carer or support person (only one person in addition to the participant living with dementia).
4. How many people will be attending the sessions?
There will be 10 participants living with dementia and the carer or support person in the group sessions.
Lisa as the facilitator at each session, Gary Glazner will visit us three times for the poetry sessions and Graeme Atkins will provide us with two musical performances over the 12-week program.
In addition to this, we will have an assistant writing the stories and poetry in the background at each session.
5. How do I connect to the each weekly session?
Lisa will email you the invitation, which will contain the Zoom meeting link, which will be the same for all 12 sessions, before the start of the first session.
A weekly email remember will sent to you each week, this email will also include your Zoom meeting invitation.
6. What happens if I miss a session?
It would be shame to miss a session but these things do happen and we will greet you with a warm welcome at the next session week.
7. What do I need to bring to a session?
Find yourself a comfy, quiet spot to sit with your computer or tablet device.
Login early, so you have time to rectify any technical issues.
