TimeSlips Creative Storytelling session at Kempsey Library on February 12

The program is aimed at engaging people living with memory loss and helping them learn new skills.

TimeSlips opens storytelling to everyone by replacing the pressure to remember with the encouragement to imagine.
Lisa Hort is the facilitator of the session and said she witnesses heightened engagement and communication amongst people who attend.

She said there are lovely moments of laughter and conversations and also moments of space where people quietly reflect.
At the session, Ms Hort said any labels of stigma are left at the door.
TimeSlips Creative Storytelling has reached 14 countries.
Ms Hort trained in TimeSlips Creative Storytelling in 2013 and three years later completed further training in Milwaukee.
